ABC News Studios have announced a one-hour special featuring "Good Morning America" co-anchor Michael Strahan's exclusive sit-down interview with legendary rock icon Jon Bon Jovi.
"Michael Strahan x Jon Bon Jovi: Halfway There" premieres on April 28, at 10 p.m. EDT on ABC, streaming next day on Hulu.
The interview can be watched on the ABC app from smartphone and tablet (iOS and Android), computer on ABC.com and connected devices (Roku, AppleTV and Amazon Fire TV).
In the candid discussion, Bon Jovi reflects on his journey to fronting one of the most successful bands of all time and the challenges he and the band faced along the way.
Bon Jovi gives Strahan an honest assessment of his health after a near career-ending vocal cord injury and talks about the band's separation from long-time guitarist Richie Sambora.
Delving into his and the band's early years, he shares intimate anecdotes about his upbringing in New Jersey, a place that would later serve as the backdrop for many of his iconic songs, and reflects on the unwavering support he received from his parents, his wife of 35 years, his family and fans.
Additionally, the special features a behind-the-scenes look at the SXSW premiere of the band's new four-part Hulu documentary, "Thank You, Goodnight: The Bon Jovi Story."

Pink Floyd's David Gilmour has announced that his new album, Luck and Strange, will be released on September 6 on Sony Music.
Luck and Strange was recorded over five months in Brighton and London and is Gilmour's first album of new material in nine years. The record was produced by Gilmour and Charlie Andrew.
Of this new working relationship, Gilmour says, "We invited Charlie to the house, so he came and listened to some demos, and said things like, 'Well, why does there have to be a guitar solo there?' and 'Do they all fade out? Can't some of them just end?'"
"He has a wonderful lack of knowledge or respect for this past of mine," the Pink Floyd guitarist added. "He's very direct and not in any way overawed, and I love that. That is just so good for me because the last thing you want is people just deferring to you".
The majority of the album's lyrics have been composed by Polly Samson, Gilmour's co-writer and collaborator for the past thirty years.
Samson says of the lyrical themes covered on Luck and Strange, "It's written from the point of view of being older; mortality is the constant."
Gilmour elaborates, "We spent a load of time during and after lockdown talking about and thinking about those kind of things."
Samson also found the experience of working with Charlie Andrew liberating, saying, "He wants to know what the songs are about, he wants everyone who's playing on them to have the ideas that are in the lyric informing their playing. I have particularly loved it for that reason".
The album features eight new tracks along with a beautiful reworking of The Montgolfier Brothers' "Between Two Points" and has artwork and photography by the renowned artist Anton Corbijn.
Musicians contributing to the record include Guy Pratt and Tom Herbert on bass, Adam Betts, Steve Gadd and Steve DiStanislao on drums, Rob Gentry and Roger Eno on keyboards, with string and choral arrangements by Will Gardner. The title track also features the late Pink Floyd keyboard player Richard Wright.
Luck and Strange is available in LP, CD, Blu-Ray & Digital For Pre-Order at https://davidgilmour.lnk.to/LuckandStrange
Gilmour also shared the track "The Piper's Call" from the upcoming album.

Frank Zappa's 5-hour show at the Whisky A Go Go that took place in Los Angeles on July 23, 1968, is set to be released as a live collection on June 21 via Zappa Records/UMe.
Fans can now listen to a previously unreleased version of "The Duke," recorded at the Whisky in '68. Zappa played the song twice at the show, and both the takes are set feature on the upcoming collection.
Ahmet Zappa and Joe Travers produced the Whisky A Go Go, 1968 collection, which contains all the tunes played by The Mothers of Invention across their three sets that night.
The Super Deluxe Edition box set will be released on both 5LP 180-gram black vinyl or 3CD, and it will feature a booklet with many unseen photos from the night's events, along with copious liner notes by Vaultmeister Joe Travers, and an essay by Pamela Des Barres of the Zappa-signed group The GTOs who played that evening.
The box set will also contain an interview by Ahmet Zappa with the legendary Alice Cooper, whose own band made a brief splash that night as one of the featured acts.
"It truly was a night of nights," as Travers says in the liners. "The Mothers performance wasn't perfect, but very good. Frank was in good spirits, the band played well, and the sequence of songs did capture the group's live repertoire of the time."
